The local (almost) daily newspaper located at 8 Dearborn Square in Kankakee, IL. Established in 1853 as the "Kankakee Gazette," it is still in business as of mid-2015! The mug declares their internet presence at Daily-Journal.com
The mug is not standard-sized, but holds about the same liquid as a normal cup. The "L" on the logo and an area just past it shows some abrasion, as does a small vertical area well below the "D" in Daily-Journal.com. Otherwise, the mug is in great shape and is a quite pleasant color, with the bulk of the exterior finished in a matte black with a gloss black trim around the mouth, and the interior a complementary glossy teal color. The logo is in a muted white. I don't know who manufactured the cup, but the two halves of the mug are quite evident (as the photos show), adding to the character of the cup. There are no signs of cracks or anywhere on this mug.
